On this map we can see the average number of years workers have been with their current employer. Although differences are not extremely big (most countries are between 8 and 12 years), there is an interesting north to south pattern.

People stay longer with their employer in Southern Europe. Greece (13.4), Italy (13.3) and Portugal (12.8) have the highest average number of years of any European country.

The lowest numbers can be found further up north, but also in Switzerland, Malta and Hungary the numbers are similar to that of the northern half of Europe. The European countries where people stay the shortest average number of years with their current employer are Lithuania (7.2), Denmark (7.7) And Estonia (8.2).

This dataset comes from the OECD.
