There are 3 countries that, by far, have more athletes at the Olympics than any other country: The United States (657), Japan (615) and Australia (486). Especially for Australia that’s an impressive number, as it only has a population of 25 million.

The other countries at the top are all either countries with a large population (like China and Brazil) or developed countries.
