We looked before at which European men and women are the tallest in Europe. On this map, we’re going to take a closer look at Asia and see which Asian men and women are the tallest.

According to data from the NCD-RisC, Russian women are the tallest in Asia, at an average height of 164.5 cm. They are just ahead of Lebanese (163.7 cm) women and Chinese women (163.5 cm). Although Lebanese women are the 2nd tallest in Asia, Lebanese men are the tallest in Asia at 179.0 cm. Russian men are the second tallest (176.6 cm) and Turkish men (176.4 cm) the third tallest in Asia.

Women in Bangladesh and Nepal (152.4 cm) are the shortest in Asia, closely followed by Timor-Lest (152.7 cm). All three of them are the shortest women in the world after Guatemalan women (150.9 cm).

Men from Timor-Leste (160.1 cm) and Laos (162.8 cm) are not only the shortest in Asia, but also the shortest in the world.
