What percentage of people in South America experiences anger on an average day?

On this map we can see what percentage of each country’s population experiences anger during a lot of the day on an average day. Although most of the angriest countries are located in the Middle East and Africa, South America also has a few countries that are among the world’s angriest. Bolivia is the angriest country in South America. 25% of Bolivians experience anger on an average day. Bolivia is followed closely by Peru (24%) and Brazil (22%).
South America is not just home to some of the angriest countries in the world, but also some of the least angry countries in the world. Paraguay and Uruguay are the least angry countries in Asia, where only 11% of the population experiences anger on an average day. They are closely followed by Chile (12%).
The data comes from the Gallup Global Emotions Report. This report is based on nationally representative, probability-based samples among the adult population, ages 15 and older. The indexes are calculated from surveys in 122 countries and areas in 2021 and early 2022.
